The Canadian market is one of the main destinations for Spanish fruit and vegetables outside the EU, with 57,140 tons exported in 2021, worth 67.5 million € Among the most imported products from Spain are citrus fruits, persimmons, pomegranates, celery, peppers, cauliflower and broccoli.
EVOO
According to Statistics Canada, Spain exported 17,937 tons of olive oils to Canada in 2021, a figure with which it is at the forefront of the market with a share of total imports of 35.02%. In fact, with more than 51,000 tons imported in 2021, Canada ranks as the fourth largest buyer of olive oils in the world outside Europe, second only to the United States, Brazil and Japan.
Wine
70% of the wine consumed in the country comes from imports. Spain is the fifth country by volume of wine imports in Canada, so there is a long and interesting journey for Spanish wine companies in the country. 18.5% growth in sales revenue, amounting to 120.9M euros in 2021
